SAINTS of Sin, that big-haired, lycra-clad rock band with the blistering original tracks, are heading to The Joiners on Friday.
Since the launch of their debut EP The Seven Deadly Sins they have been gigging round the country, performing everywhere from iconic rock venues such as The Purple Turtle and The 12 Bar Club in London to Tribfest in Hull.
The gig is a fundraiser. Saints of Sin need money to buy and maintain their own band van. At the moment, they are hiring a van virtually every weekend at great expense.
A spokesperson said: “It’s very costly – in fact, it’s a sinful waste of money. And they need a big van – have you seen the size of their amps? And then there’s all that spandex and hairspray!”
So for this gig, all their ticket sales will be split 50/50 to raise money for the band and for the Joiners to help it keep supporting original live music.
Saints of Sin plan to make this night extra special, with a brand new set, some fun competitions and a few surprises.
Saints of Sin (plus support) play The Joiners, St Mary’s Street, Southampton, on Friday. Tickets cost £6 on the door (or £5 in advance through the band – message them on facebook.com/saintsofsinuk). Doors open at 7.30pm.
