IRELAND'S leading country singer Derek Ryan is promising Southampton fans 'One Good Night' later this month.
His rise to become one of the biggest stars of Irish Country music has been phenomenal. In just over five years few artists have made such an impact on the Irish country scene like the Co. Carlow singer songwriter. Having played to sell out concert audiences around the world with Irish boyband D-Side, the young heartthrob has brought a distinctive fresh sound to Irish country.
Derek Ryan has become a sell out artist in his homeland and has topped the Irish national charts and the UK iTunes country charts with his albums. His theatre shows contain much of the music featured on his six albums including many of his own self-penned songs, God’s Plan and Life Is A River, as well as many country classics.
He is a constant recipient of Ireland’s most prestigious music awards and is regularly awarded both Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year.
Derek’s One Good Night concert, at Turner Sims on April 20, includes a mix of old favourites, classic country and Derek’s own original material.
