STEVE Steinman’s path to fame and fortune began in 1993 when he appeared on the hit ITV1 show Stars In Their Eyes as Meat Loaf.
Now 16 years on, his latest extravaganza will see him teaming up with a 40-piece orchestra to bring Bat The Symphony to the UK. First stop on the tour is Southampton’s Mayflower Theatre.
This week Steve was at the theatre to reunite with the man who was at the start of his hugely successful showbiz journey.
Matthew Kelly is currently starring in Cinderella: The Musical Pantomime, which ends tonight, while Steinman will bring Bat The Symphony to the stage in March.
Steinman, now known the world over for his hit shows Vampires Rock and The Meatloaf Trilogy, is the UK’s only self-financing producer who stars in two of his own productions.
Bat the Symphony combines a 40-piece orchestra with the power of a rock band and the vocals of Steinman in a mind-blowing Meat Loaf show, which has the flair of a rock concert and the elegance of an opera.
With Bat Out Of The Musical looming in London’s West End, Steve felt it was the perfect time to hit the road with this epic adventure and record-breaking album.
Bat the Symphony comes to The Mayflower on March 29.
