SINGING sensations from across Hampshire and further afield were hitting the right notes as one of the country’s biggest talent shows came to town.
Budding solo artists, unsigned bands and vocal groups took centre stage when asked to display their talents at the auditions stage of Live and Unsigned at Ferneham Hall in Fareham.
Dozens of talented performers have been invited back for the regional final where they will be one step closer to hitting the big time and scooping an elusive record deal.
The Hall family have two reasons to celebrate – singer Louis and his band Capricorn Sister impressed judges along with his brother Olly’s band The Johnny Soul Trip, who also made it through to the next round.
The two bands, along with Southampton’s The Novatones and 43 others, will perform in the regional final at Ferneham Hall on Saturday March 7.
Among the solo artists who get to perform again for the judges are singer songwriter Keeley Filgo, who moved to Southampton from the US three years ago to build a music career.
Live and Unsigned aims to find potential recording artists, giving them a chance to perform their own genre and style, in front of a panel of judges.
Winners from 2007, B-Kay & Kazz, launched into the UK national charts where their debut single reached the top 30, while last year’s winner Kiddo360 are forecast to go even better.
The winning act will be offered a recording and management contract with up to £20,000 investment to release their single.
