HE’S performed his catchy songs in front of thousands at Glastonbury, but on Saturday night The Kooks frontman Luke Pritchard had to settle for more intimate surroundings.

He joined other up-and-coming stars at The King Alfred pub in Winchester for an impromptu gig in front of less than 50 people.

It was part of a birthday bash for Tom Graham, son of the pub’s licensee, Janet.

The former Peter Symonds College student is an A&R manager for Global Talent and Publishing.

Also performing was Ellie Goulding, who has recently signed for the label.

“It was just fantastic, the locals that were there just could not believe it,” said Janet.

“Recently-signed Ellie Golding sang exquisitely, leaving everybody with goosebumps who listened to her amazing voice!”
