MAXIMO Park, White Lies, The View, The Rifles, The Zombies and special guest Paolo Nutini have been added to the main stage line-up for Saturday June 13 at the Isle of Wight Festival.
They join a list of names already confirmed, including Neil Young, Stereophonics, Razorlight and The Prodigy.
The Big Top will be headlined on Saturday by newly-reformed Ultravox, whose massive hits include Vienna and Dancing With Tears In My Eyes. The Australian Pink Floyd Show, one of the most successful tribute acts of all time and a favourite at last year’s event, will close the evening with an amazing light show.
Maximo Park are renowned for their energetic performances with singer Paul Smith’s trademark leap, defying gravity. With a third studio album on the way, the feisty Newcastle four-piece promise to rock the main stage.
It has certainly been a dramatic year for White Lies after hitting the number one spot with their debut album To Lose My Life, and winning fans across the globe with their unique blend of dark melodic rock. Set to play ahead of Maximo Park the west London three-piece have been known to evoke a cluster of emotions from their loyal fans.
Following the release of their second album Which Bitch’, Scottish rockers The View are also set to tear up the main stage. Expect an explosively memorable performance as the Mercury Prize nominees add their names to the list of festival greats.
Championed by the Modfather himself, Paul Weller, The Rifles have proved they have the songs and the stamina for success with their epic blend of mod and punk.
Having been holed up in the studio working on his much-anticipated second album, Paolo Nutini appears as a special guest, sharing the bill with fellow Scots The View.
Since forming in 1961, The Zombies have rocked the world with their mixture of psychedelic, baroque pop. Now leaders Colin Blunstone and Rod Argent return for a special appearance on the main stage.
