GREAT news for all fans of British rock legends UFO: their brand-new studio album The Visitor will be released on June 2, followed by a tour which stops at The Brook on June 23.
UFO composed more than 35 new tracks in the run-up to the album, 13 of which were short-listed and recorded in the studio. Ten of these songs have made it on to the album. The current line-up includes three original members, Phil Mogg (vocals), Paul Raymond (guitar, keyboards), and Andy Parker (drums), who are joined by American world-class guitarist Vinnie Moore. Bass legend and original member Pete Way is suffering from liver disease and was not available for the studio production.
The Visitor sees the band benefiting from their collaboration with Vinnie Moore, who joined UFO in autumn 2003 and has made an excellent contribution on the albums, You Are Here (2004) and The Monkey Puzzle (2006), as well as to the band’s live performances. Tickets are £20. Call 023 8055 5366 or visit the-brook.com.
