A HOST of local bands will do their bit for ailing Southampton FC tomorrow.
The Saints Aid festival will see more than 20 acts perform at St Mary’s concourse, as well as the Itchen Suite and Dell Supporters Café.
The event will kick off with a day of fun family activities at the stadium, including an EA Sports gaming hub, 20ft “death slide”, bouncy castle, assault course, face-painting, penalty shootout competition, ex-player signings and a special appearance by FA Cup winning captain Peter Rodrigues.
Anyone wanting to attend just the day event is asked, if they can afford it, to donate £5 to the cause.
Bands will take to the stage throughout the day, but after 6pm the event will be strictly ticketed.
The £15 ticket buys access to not only the main event, but also other Saints Aid concerts happening across Southampton over the Bank Holiday weekend.
This includes a heavy metal night tonight, from 8pm to 2am, at Louisiana nightclub in Leisure World and a night of gigs at the King Alfred.
It all concludes on Bank Holiday Monday when local superstar DJ trio Artful Dodger headlines a night of dance tunes at Oceana.
■ Tickets are now available through The Mayflower box office on 023 8071 1811 and at the ticket south shop in the Mall Marlands. Alternatively, buy them via Saints box office on 0800 2800 050 or saintsfc.co.uk. For more information, visit saints-aid.co.uk.
