CURRENTLY making major waves on the British music scene, Southampton threesome Band of Skulls return to The Talking Heads for a homecoming gig this weekend.
The alternative rockers, consisting of Russell Marsden (guitar, vocals), Emma Richardson (bass, vocals), and Matt Hayward (drums), play the venue on the penultimate date of their biggest UK headline tour to date.
Band of Skulls, who appear in music bible NME this week, formed in Southampton in 2008, originally playing clubs and recording demos as Fleeing New York before changing their name in November 2008.
Their debut album Baby Darling Doll Face Honey was released last March and the track I Know What I Am chosen as iTunes’ free Single of the Week.
The band’s single Friends was included on The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack towards the end of last year. The trio recently supported Spiritualized on their U.K. tour. They’ve even broken America!
Hear what everyone’s talking about tomorrow night.
Tickets: 023 8063 2601.
