THREE sons are celebrating the music of their father — jazz icon Dave Brubeck, who is in his 90th year — with a special concert.

Darius, Chris and Dan Brubeck have toured the world with their father – the American jazz giant of the 1950s and 1960s.

It is in his honour that they are bringing Brubecks Play Brubeck to The Anvil in Basingstoke on Friday.

The band features Darius on piano, Chris on bass and trombone, and Dan on drums, and they will be joined by guest saxophonist Dave O’Higgins.

On their 11-stop UK tour they will be performing Brubeck originals and standard tunes as well as their own compositions.

Dave Brubeck turns 90 on December 6 this year and still performs in America.

The three brothers have toured and recorded with their father as Two Generations of Brubeck and The New Brubeck Quartet.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.45pm, are priced at £22.50 and can be booked by calling 01256 844244, or online at .
