YOUR route from musician, to band, to gig always has some great personal milestones.

Following your debut performance headlining The Joiners comes fairly high as yo ur next goal in this neck of the woods.

When it comes to recording you’ll want your demo played by the BBC’s Phil Jackson and Sally Ta ylor, Wave 105’s slot and Isle of Wight radio.

As far as reviews then you’ll be looking for coverage by Mintsouth, Unplug The Jukebox, Playing out Loud and The Mag.

And so far all of the above agree that Gideon’s Demise have a sound that could fill stadiums.

Which is always intriguing when the band are a threepiece: “Having three people allows space for each instrument – we are not looking to fill every silent gap with noise,”

Gideon told me.“If we were to add another bod to the band, I think it would be a keyboardist that could add an almost “Massive Attack” vibe to the production.”

They’ve recently added a headline at Campden’s Dublin Castle to their CV, plus a personal milestone for Gideon – playing 100 Club in Oxford St, London.

“We were really tight that night and had people come to see us from some fair distances.

Atruly quality night.”

This evening in the Soul Cellar they’ll be launching their debut album Kiss My Te mper.

It’s an album that easily captures their full sound and reveals the potential they have as song writers.

Expect your ears to be squeezed.
