SHE is a rising star who has been nominated for a Brit award and is currently selling out venues around the country.
But once critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Rumer’s national tour finishes, she is returning to her Hampshire roots for a very special concert.
The star, whose debut album Seasons Of My Soul has sold more than half a million copies worldwide and reached number three in the UK charts, has agreed to play a one-off gig to raise cash for New Milton Memorial Centre.
Just 300 tickets sold out immediately for the homecoming concert on Wednesday.
Pakistan-born Rumer, whose real name is Sarah Joyce, lived in the New Forest for several years before moving to London to pursue her music career.
After the release of her album last November, she was named best alternative act at this year’s UK Asian Music Awards.
