A FINAL year fashion student from Southampton Solent University will be unveiling a series of short fashion films, loosely based on the Grimm brothers’ fairy tales, beneath the city in Southampton’s 13th century vaults.
Obscure Perception is the major project of BA (Hons) fashion with photography student Jessica Moore, aged 20.
For tomorrow only, the public are invited to view the exhibition at the Castle Vaults.
More suited to an adult audience, the series of short fashion films explore the dark side of infamous tales such as Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Rapunzel.
“The original fairy tales are notoriously dark and twisted and there will be a focus on this throughout the exhibit.
“I wanted to create something that would give the audience a different perception compared to the glorified Disney versions”, says Jessica.
The exhibition is open from 3pm to 9pm at Castle Vault, Western Esplanade.
