HAMPSHIRE-born singer-songwriter Laura Marling is bringing her heartwarming vocal tones and airy folk to the O2 Guildhall Southampton.
Marling, from Eversley, will appear at the venue on May 4.
She is a multiple Mercury Music Prize nominee with her albums Alas, I Cannot Swim, I Speak Because I Can and Once I Was an Eagle all being recognised by judges.
Her new album, Short Movie, has been wellreceived by the music press and just last year she received her third Brit Award nomination for best female solo artist – and even won the gong at the 2011 event.
She joined indie folk band Noah and the Whale early in her career and collaborated with Mystery Jets on their single Young Love in 2008.
Marling is widely considered to be one of the most talented songwriters of her generation and is cited as being a part of folk’s revolution in popularity in recent years.
WIN: THE Daily Echo has two pairs of tickets to give away for Laura Marling’s performance at the O2 Guildhall Southampton on May 4.
