IT was boos and cheers all round at the Freemantle Community Centre this week as a very different panto was performed for a packed audience.

The cast was made up of adults with learning disabilities, who are known as TAG (The Acting Group) and this was their second performance in the city.

The group was formed just a year ago in response to requests from service users for an opportunity to demonstrate their dramatic talents and meet with other like-minded people.

Their second production was Cinderella, which took the form of a court trial for the Ugly Sisters, where flashbacks were used to tell the story. There were the good guys, the bad guys, songs and dancing and every member of the group shone from the stage.

The 100-plus audience was made up of families, friends and support workers.

The group meets on Monday evenings throughout the year from 7.30pm to 9pm and is about to move to a new venue. To find out more, call Peter Collins on 07870 509539.
