WHERE is your favourite local pub?
What do you prize most about your local?
Is it the staff, the welcome, the surroundings, the company?
The Local has been having a tough time of it lately. Always at the heart of the community, the local pub is central to the social life and lives of neighbours.
A few have been lost to the hard economic times we have been living through.
But now the Daily Echo is putting the local pub in the spotlight and asking you to help us find our region’s Best Local 2013.
Any pub can enter – and the prize will be not just the honour of being voted the very best for service, hospitality, quality and comfort, but also a free hog roast party to be thrown for up to 80 regulars as a thank you.
The final winner will be chosen by a panel of experts from all of the nominations we receive.
Every pub that takes part will feature in a special guide to the best of our locals that will appear in the Daily Echo on Friday, August 23.
So why not persuade your local landlord and landlady to enter.
