HARRY HILL tries out new material for a live show that promises incontrovertible proof that God exists at Theatre Royal Winchester tomorrow night.

Joined by showband The Harry’s, there’s a section exclusively for Tongans, a chance to catch up on Harry’s Nan’s latest ailments, the legendary Stouffer the Cat and a debut solo stand-up spot by Gary, Harry’s son from his first marriage and recognisable for his role as Alan Sugar in Harry Hill’s TV Burp.

There’ll be expert-whistlerof- chart-hits grandson Sam and an allsinging, alldancing finale.

Oh, and maybe a giant sausage.

The night is sold out. JO CAULFIELD’s brand new show Better the Devil Yo u Know is inspired by a shocking conversation with an audience member.

“Five years ago I got married in New York. At a recent gig I was talking to a woman who’d done the same thing. She said ‘Wasn’t it easy? Pay $50, get your licence and three minutes later you’re done.

The hardest part is when you get back to Britain and you have to fill in all the paperwork and register it here’.

“I felt my blood go cold – I didn’t know we had to do that! Then it hit me like a punch in the stomach – I’m not actually married to my husband!”

The realisation that she is, in fact, a single woman, got Jo thinking, “If you could make all your big life choices again, would you do the same things?”

Although Jo is a regular on many TV and radio panel shows, including Mock the Week and Have I Got News for Yo u, it’s on the live stage where she really shines. With her razor-sharp observations and her scandalous oneliners it’s no surprise she was recently nominated as the Best Female Comic in the UK.

And for all the romantics out there, there is a happy ending: “We’re going to renew our wedding vows... but this time I’m determined to stick to at least three of them.”

Jo Caulfield’s Better The Devil You Know will be on at The Berry Theatre, Hedge End tomorrow night.

AS seen on Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 Cats and Dave’s One Night Stand, Katherine Ryan graces Fareham’s Ashcroft Arts Centre tonight with Nature’s Candy.

Having experienced motherhood, divorce, and MTV, this awardwinning comedienne proves that the things in life that make us bitter, can actually be quite delicious and hilarious.
