W ITH Anvil Arts revealing their line-up for autumn, the season is looking like their best one yet.

Some of the top comedians of today will be bringing plenty of laughs to Basingstoke with Jason Manford kicking off on September 25 and 26. Surreal comic Milton is back by popular demand on October 9. Reginald D Hunter will also be appearing following two sell-out tours on October 11 and 12.

Paul Merton will be bringing along his Impro Chums on October 20 for a night of unscripted laughs.

Geordie lass Sarah Millican will be entertaining on November 5 and Ed Byrne is set to embrace middle age on November 17. Fellow Irish man and former Father Ted star Ardal O’Hanlon is also set to appear on November 27.

Musical treats come in the form of The Osmonds.

After selling 77 million r ecord s brothers Merrill, J a y and Jimmy will be performing all the old classics on September 24. The Hollies will also be bringing all their old favourites to The Anvil on November 2. The ’80s will be brought back in all its glory as Go West and Hue & Cry join forces on November 13.

Songstress KT Tunstall will be playing her hits on November 14 and Steve Hartney & Cockney Rebel will be showcasing songs from his exquisite career on November 19.

The Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra playing on October 3.

One of the most highly acclaimed folk bands, The Southern Tenant Folk Union will be playing The Forge on 22 November.

Anvil Arts will also continue to showcase the great plays it’s known for. A Murder Has Been Arranged is a terrifying thriller set in 1930s London and talks of a haunted theatre, a murder and a vast inheritence.

Guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat, the play will be at The Haymarket from September 25 to 28.

Mistaken identity, Battenberg cake and a fishing gnome are all importantparts of eccentric play Time and Time Again (November 6 to 9.).

The Shakespeare classic As You Like It will also be reinvented by critically acclaimed Transport on October 23 and 24.

Youngsters will also get to enjoy the magical experience of theatre. Bestselling children’s book You’ll laugh Your Pants Off has been reinvented for stage and will be playing from October 31 to November 2. Room on the Broom, from the author of The Gruffalo, will be toldin spellbindingdetail at The Haymarket from August 30 to September 12. The heart-warming story The Elephant Bridesmaid will be a treat for children on September 22. Nessie the Eleephant and her animal friends go in search of the perfect bridesmaid dress.

Teenagers will also be able to join in with T e ena g e Rampa g e being held at The Forge on October 31. Tributes to One Direction, Little Mix and Justin Bieber will provide an experience they won’t forget.
