NOW in its ninth year this annual show provides a celebration of and showcase for the work of Dancewise Studios.
While there was an overarching theme the show was by design episodic to incorporate the range of dance styles and music and provide opportunities for performers varying from stagestruck tots to the over-18s.
The shifts in style and pace were handled well and there were some amusing touches such as a flag waving number a la Last Night of the Proms and a very effective tap dance routine to a medley of Queen songs.
The backdrop was kept simple, allowing the performers and their stunning costumes to quite literally take centre stage.
Their enthusiasm and delight was evident for all to see.
There were some striking numbers, with the joker’s routine, the Irish dance and the Street Crew making a particular impact.
