CHESIL Theatre’s 10x10 Playwriting Competition, launched nationally for the first time this year, has been generating interest across the country.
The deadline for ten minute plays based around the theme of ‘One hundred and fifty’ is midnight on Friday, April 25.
If you are a playwright, 16 years and over, and would like the chance for your play to receive three full performances at Winchester’s Chesil Theatre over the weekend of October 18 and 19, then send off your scripts to marketing@chesiltheatre.org.uk.
10x10 producer Deborah Edgington said: “10x10 is a fantastic opportunity for writers to see their work performed.
“I am overwhelmed by the response it is receiving this year.
“Apart from making sure writers have adhered to the 10x10 rules, our judges will be looking for plays that have a lively dialogue, are well-constructed, evidence of good character development and an element of surprise.”
