BUDDING thespians are needed to audition for a forthcoming production of an American witch-hunting classic play.
The Discarded Nut Theatre Company (DNTC) has announced a programme of drama and music workshops for the autumn and wants to hear from youngsters who would like to be involved.
Anyone aged between seven and 25 who loves performing and is passionate about theatre could benefit from a whole host of exciting opportunities with the Winchester company.
Discarded Nut Youth Theatre (DNYT) is a group of young actors who are committed to creating high-quality, contemporary adaptations of classic plays and who want to pursue a career on the stage.
Youngsters are needed for the 2014/15 company, which is bringing to life one of the most compelling plays of the last century – Arthur Miller’s classic drama The Crucible.
Auditions are taking place on Saturday, September 13 from 10.30am to 4.30pm. The performances will be in July 2015.
Monkey Nuts Youth Theatre is for children aged seven to 11 wanting to develop their acting skills through drama games and improvisation and on-stage performances.
For those who prefer singing or dancing Discarded Nut teams up with Elevation Youth Dance Company for DaNce, a series of workshops exploring different dance styles with dynamic, innovative choreographer Bryony Garner.
Finally, talented singers aged 13 to 25 can join the Whole Nut Choir led by DNTC’s music director Harriett Morris.
