FOR Irish comedy at its best, don’t miss Stones in His Pockets, the award-winning play by Marie Jones.
Back on tour by popular demand, the show is delighting audiences at the Theatre Royal Winchester.
The show has been a huge hit, both in the West End and on Broadway, and has won many theatre accolades, including the Laurence Olivier and Evening Standard Awards for Best New Comedy, as well as three Tony nominations on Broadway.
Stones in His Pockets tells the story of how a village in rural Ireland copes when a Hollywood film studio descends upon it.
The demand for extras from the local community is huge, and as the story unfolds, just two talented actors brilliantly bring to life more than 15 extraordinary characters.
From the two cheeky Irish lads intent on becoming big movie players to the diva lead Hollywood actress, whose Irish accent leaves a lot to be desired, Stones in His Pockets is one of the funniest and moving plays of its time.
The show runs until tomorrow, starting at 8pm each night.
Tickets are £18 and concessions £16. For more details, call the box office on 01962 840440 or visit theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk.
