OYT has tackled yet another meaty and highly relevant subject with their new production focused on cyber bullying.
Mixing drama, music and, of course, technology, this was a thoughtful and highly effective exploration of what has become a growing problem.
Such malevolent use of such technology was a sobering lesson. Never has a beeping phone sounded more sinister.
This was nimble and well choreographed piece strongly acted by its small cast of four. Gemma Aked-Priestley (Katie) and Victoria Eyers (Melissa) gave natural and very convincing performances as a bully and a victim respectively, both slightly unsympathetic characters with an underlying level of vulnerability.
Kimberley Cook impressed in her triple roles, showing subtle and skillful characterisation. Newcomer Jon Webb is a real find, exhibiting a great lightness of touch and comic flair. It was another thought provoking, yet highly entertaining evening's entertainment.
