THESE three little Japanese maids are making their way to the Plaza Theatre in Romsey, to appear in the forthcoming 75th Anniversary Production for RAODS.

Jemma-Louise Hunt (Pitti-Siing), Annie Masters (Yum-Yum), and Abigail Millar (Peep-Bo) are all looking forward to the start of the run, a special celebratory gala performance, on Monday.

Director Liam Meggison promises ‘ a belter of a show’ adding ‘I was taken to see productions of G&S operettas as a child, and loved entering their topsy-turvy worlds. For those who don’t know The Mikado, I want it to be a glorious madcap surprise’.

Monday’s audience will be invited to dress up in 1930s style, in long dresses for the women and dinner jackets for the gentlemen. In return, they’ll be given a welcoming Buck’s Fizz, nibbles and free 20 page souvenir programme, including extracts from RAODS’ original production of The Mikado in 1935, and highlights of the 75 years since.

• The Mikado runs from Monday to Saturday. Tickets: 01794 512987.
