ANDY Hamilton, one of Britain’s best loved comedy performers and writers, bring his Hat of Doom to Theatre Royal Winchester tomorrow.
This multi-award winner serves up a one-man show, brimming with jokes, stories, gossip, music, cash prizes, nudity and trampolining and containing ‘mild peril.’ He told Scene South: “It’s a one-man show featuring me doing all sorts of stuff and stories. The way it works is that I put lots of topics in a hat and the audience picks a topic. The show is always different, which keeps it interesting and there’s plenty of fun and audience participation.
“There will be topical stuff, but not exclusively so.
“I’ve got some material planned and ready to go and there’s other stuff that just comes up. I don’t want to frighten myself too much, but I like a little bit of danger!”
Andy is known to millions for his appearances on TV shows such as topical news quiz Have I Got News For You and also QI.
He is co-creator and co-writer of the latest BBC One TV hit sitcom Outnumbered, a third series of which is currently being aired, and is a radio favourite.
The show is sold out. Late returns may be available from the box office on 01962 840440.
