PERRY Valerie Passed peacefully on Christmas Day. A much loved great grandmother and swimming teacher, founder of Shirley Swimming Pool. Memorial service: Wednesday January 25th 2023 11.30am St.Josephs Catholic Church, Bugle Street Southampton.

Condolences to Val's family. I remember spending many happy hours teaching swimming at Shirley. My three children were taught to swim by Val. A very special lady .

So many memories - and such sad news. A kind lady who encouraged Mark, Louise and James Bishop when they first took to the water in the early 70’s. I remember Val as a friend - and send my condolences to all the family. Jean-Anne (Charkham)

We are shocked and saddened to hear of Val's passing.
She was such a lovely lady who we enjoyed so many happy times with.
