SMITH BEM Melvin Leonard Charles "Mel or Smudger" Passed away peacefully on Thursday 30th March 2023 aged 90 years after a long illness borne with great strength and dignity. Mel will be sadly missed by his loving wife Julie and all his family and many friends. Mel was formerly of the Ordnance Survey, 135 Field Survey Squadron RE TAVR and Cowes Sports FC. Mel's funeral service will be held at Test Valley Crematorium on Monday 24th April at 11.30am and afterwards at The Royal British Legion, Romsey SO51 8DE. All are welcome. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired, can be made to Parkinson's UK or Mountbatten Hampshire via AH Cheater Funeral Directors, North Baddesley.
