KELLOW, Robert (Rob) of Nailsworth and formerly of Southampton, died in Cheltenham Hospital on Tuesday 2nd July, aged 74. Beloved husband of Vanessa, devoted father of Edward, Emma, Hannah and Chloe, loving Grandpa to Hermione, Felix, Effie, Flora, George, Alfie and Sophie, and a loyal friend to so many. Rob was a selfless, generous and loving man who dedicated so much of his life to caring for, and supporting, others. During the eighties, he was a Principal Social Worker and ran Enderley House in Amberley, where he met his wife of 40 years. Together they went on to open the very first children's day nursery offering care for babies in Hampshire. Play Away Day Nurseries successfully grew, looking after thousands of young children and their families across more than three decades. In his spare time, Rob was an avid birdwatcher and nature enthusiast who adored his garden and living in the Stroud Valleys. He was passionate about music a keen prog rocker and blues fan and a dedicated football supporter of Woking, Fulham and Forest Green Rovers. The funeral service to celebrate Rob's life will take place at 10am on Thursday 25th July in the Oak Chapel, Cheltenham Crematorium. Afterwards, a private family burial will take place in Brimscombe and from 1pm a celebration of Rob's life will be held at Stroud Brewery, GL5 2BY. All who knew and remember Rob are invited to attend and colourful clothing is very much welcome. Guests are also invited to bring a freshly cut flower from their own garden to lay with him after the service.
