ROY ERNEST EDWARD WHITE

WHITE Roy Ernest Edward 1933-2024 died on Saturday 27th July 2024 at Winchester Hospice after a short illness. He was a loving father to Karen, Alison and Christopher (late), deeply adored grandfather of 4 and great-grandfather of 9, and faithful husband to Mary for 69 years. Roy was born in Southampton and later moved to Chandlers Ford. He worked at the Ordnance Survey in the late 1940's and joined Southampton Borough Police in 1956. He later moved to Police Headquarters in Winchester in 1970 and also worked as a Judge's Escort in Winchester Law Courts before retiring in 1984. Roy was a keen gardener and a kind and gentle family man and he was dearly loved and he will be sorely missed by his family and all who knew him.
