A FOURTH man arrested in connection with two armed robberies in the New Forest has been charged relating to a separate incident.
Keith Michael Laidler, 36, of Bramtoco Way, Totton, appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court this morning, charged with the attempted robbery of a McColls convenience store.
As previously reported in the Daily Echo, the store in Longstock Crescent, Totton, was targeted on October 21, when a man carrying what appeared to be a firearm entered the and demanded cash from staff.
Laidler, who was also charged with possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence, was remanded in custody and will appear at Southampton Crown Court on January 21.
He had been initially arrested on December 28, in connection with two armed robberies in the New Forest. He has been bailed until the middle of February in relation to those incidents.
