A MAN was today due in court today after a stabbing at a Hampshire home in which a man died on Christmas Day.
Marc Lindsey has been charged with the murder of 47-year-old Edward Vials at a house in Gosport.
It comes after police were called to an address in Hill Park Road, Gosport, at 11.46pm on Christmas Eve.
Paramedics battled to resuscitate Mr Vials, who had gone into cardiac arrest after being stabbed, but a South Central Ambulance spokesman said he was pronounced dead at 12.47am on Christmas Day.
A post-mortem examination confirmed Mr Vials, of Tintern Road, Gosport, died of a stab wound.
Lindsey, of Hill Park Road, Gosport, is due to appear before Winchester Crown Court today.
