VISITOR restrictions are still in place at Southampton General Hospital today as bosses try to win the fight against norovirus.
Restrictions were introduced on Friday as four wards were closed to new admissions due to an outbreak of the highly contagious bug that causes vomiting and diarrhoea.
Essential ward visits are allowed at the discretion of the nurse in charge of each area but relatives are urged to call before arriving.
The restrictions are also in place for the Princess Anne Hospital and Countess Mountbatten House.
