AT A time of year when families come together, a foster agency is appealing for carers in Hampshire to help children who have none.
Foster Care Associates (FCA) South is looking to alleviate the foster carer shortage in the region, and have launched a winter campaign to recruit more carers and help vulnerable youngsters.
Sarah Dimmelow, area manager for FCA South, said: “During the festive season, feeling safe and secure in a family is more important than ever.
“Foster carers come from all walks of life and at FCA we value commitment, resilience and transferable skills.
“We’ll provide you with in-depth training and we’ll support you 24 hours a day, all we ask is that you are over 21, have a spare bedroom suitable for a young person and the determination to help make a positive and lasting difference for vulnerable young people.”
FCA South is recruiting further emergency, respite and long term foster carers for children aged up to 18 years old.
FCA welcomes single carer, married, cohabiting and same sex couples from all ethnicities and religious backgrounds.
