BESTIVAL promoters are to honour the lives of festival-goers killed in a coach crash as they returned home from the event last year.

A special musical charity night, Bestival Benefit, will take place in March, hosted by Bestival curator Rob da Bank and festival favourites The Cuban Brothers.

Michael Molloy, 18, Kerry Ogden, 23, and coach driver Colin Daulby, 63, died in the accident on the A3 near Hindhead, Surrey, as they returned from the music and arts event on the Isle of Wight in September.

Zach Washington-Young also suffered life-changing injuries and a host of others were badly affected.

The gig, in aid of charities chosen by the victims’ families, will take place at the iconic Nation venue in Liverpool, home town of those killed.

Rob da Bank said: “Bestival HQ and everyone connected to Bestival 2012 were devastated by what happened.

“We've been working to get an event set up to show some love and hopefully raise lots of money for those affected and their families.

“We knew that we had to do everything we could to show that they are in our hearts and minds, so we’d be honoured if you would join us in paying tribute to them, and helping us to raise as much money for charity as possible.

“Prepare to party for a very good cause. See you on the dance floor.”
