The 25-year-old died at the scene after plunging on to the carriageway of the M27 at Hedge End just after 12am.

Now his family has paid tribute to a “wonderful son and brother” who they say will be missed enormously.

In a statement they said: “The family are devastated at the tragic loss of Ryan. He was a gifted, caring young lad with a great love for life, his family and friends.

“He was an ex-pupil at Wildern Secondary School and Barton Peveril College.

"He left Microlink in Chandler's Ford to pursue a portfolio career in music, film and photography plus involvement in the launch of a new clothing range.

“He loved skateboarding and playing basketball.

“Ryan was a wonderful son and brother who will always be loved and missed.

“His was a beautiful life cut short.”

Police are investigating Mr Perks’ death, although it is not thought to be suspicious.
