A MAN was left needing hospital treatment after he was attacked by three robbers who burst into his home.
The balaclava-wearing trio forced their way inside a house in West End Road, Bitterne, and stole a watch from the victim, in his 50’s, who suffered a head injury during the incident.
Detectives are investigating the aggravated burglary which happened around 5pm last night and are now appealing for information.
They say the robbers were all wearing dark clothing and made off on foot towards Wynter Road.
DS Matt Taylor said: “Thankfully the man was not seriously injured but he was left shaken by the attack.
“We’d like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in this area at around 5pm yesterday. We would also like to establish if any local residents saw any vehicles parked up in the area around the time which may have roused their suspicions.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact Southampton CID on 101.
