A SPATE of criminal damage and anti-social behaviour has been reported in a Hampshire village during the Christmas period.

Police are appealing for information on the incidents in Stubbington.

There were a number of reports of doorbells being rung, nuisance callers and damage to windows in the Burnt House Lane area during the weekend of Friday, December 28, and Saturday, December 29.

Between December 31 and last Wednesday, a window at the Meoncross School in Burnt House Lane was damaged, along with two windows of a school minibus.

Damage was also caused to the windows of a florist and Chinese restaurant in Stubbington Green between Christmas Eve and Boxing Day.

Police said that it is suspected that a catapult or similar device was used to fire stones at the glass.

They are particularly interested in any information that would help to identify anyone who has been seen with a catapult or may have been given one as a Christmas present.

Anyone with information about the incidents are asked to contact PCSO Martin at Park Gate police station by phoning 101 or give information anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
