A HAMPSHIRE man has been handed a suspended prison sentence by magistrates after being convicted on nine charges of fraud.
Alexander Marlo Schlebusch, 28, of Northmore Road, Locks Heath, was found guilty of trying to obtain bogus refunds on store cards, gifts cards and also on credit cards.
The total amount involved was £1,669.96.
The fraudulent offences were carried out between July 2011 and June of last year.
Schlebusch had denied all the charges.
Magistrates at Fareham sentenced him to 42 days in jail, which was suspended for 12 months.
He was also ordered to do 120 hours of unpaid work and be under supervision for a year.
He was also ordered to pay £250 court costs.
