IT is virtually the best way to learn.
Pupils at Wildern School have been brushing up on their art skills over the Internet, with a teacher who beams his lessons into the classroom from Canada.
Anthony Kawalski is the school’s “virtual artist in residence”, having continued to hold classes with youngsters in Hedge End since emigrating to North America.
The artist, who has created works for Sir Elton John, the king of Jordan, famous London department store Liberty, and the BBC and Channel 4, stages his lessons through Skype.
One of his lessons saw Wildern students taking part in a live transmission that was then featured on Canadian TV.
