A BIKER has been fined for causing serious injuries to a moped rider.
John Peter Baker, 44, pleaded guilty at Fareham Magistrates’ Court to driving without due care and attention.
Baker’s Honda motorbike collided with 16-year-old Albie James’s moped on the A32 at Wickham in May, resulting in “life changing” injuries for the Wickham teenager.
Baker, of Drayton Street, Winchester, failed to see the moped’s indication and tried to overtake.
He received a £250 fine, eight penalty points and must pay a £15 victim surcharge and £35 costs.
