AN Eastleigh teenager who lied about being raped has been warned she may go to jail.
Sophie Hooper told police she had been raped after going back to the home of a man she met in a pub.
Southampton Crown Court heard the pair had consensual sex, but after her complaint to police he was arrested and held for seven hours for questioning.
He then had to ensure a two-month wait before being told he would not face prosecution.
Hooper, 19, of Tennyson Road, Eastleigh, admitted attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Recorder Maria Lamb adjourned sentence until February 1 but told Hooper: “Don’t read anything into it that I am granting you bail.
All sentencing options are open."
