A police investigation has been launched after a man died when his car hit a tree in Hampshire.

The man in his sixties, who has not been named, was driving a Honda Insight on the A327 at Eversley Cross near Yateley.

But as it was travelling north it left the road outside Busta Farm and hit a tree at about 11.50pm on Friday.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or the vehicle prior to it to contact PC Jonathan Peace at Whitchurch Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Bayan.
