THE Southampton branch of the Dialogue Society has invited Southampton mayor Derek Burke and faith leaders to hold its Noah Pudding get-together tomorrow.
Held at the charity’s city branch in 18 Augustine Road, Southampton, from 6pm, the celebration is open to all and celebrates the common heritage of Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
In the Muslim prophecy, the day Moses and his community were saved from the Pharaoh’s army and the day the ark was saved from the flood is marked with fasting. In modern times this has been marked with the sharing of a special dessert known as Noah’s Pudding.
The society aims to promote peace, tolerance and mutual understanding among different communities.
