A Hampshire pensioner died when his car collided with a tipper lorry.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the crash.
It happened when a Mercedes Actros “tipper” lorry and a silver-coloured Nissan Note were in collision at a set of crossroads between Bramshaw and Fritham last Friday.
The Nissan was being driven by a 71-year-old Hythe man who died in Southampton General Hospital the next day.
His front seat passenger, a 78-year-old man from Bodmin, Cornwall, was also taken to the hospital, where his condition is said to be in serious but stable.
The rear passenger, a 65-year-old Hythe woman, was less seriously injured.
Anyone who witnessed the crash or saw either vehicle shortly before the collision, should call the Totton Roads Policing Unit on 101.
