Police are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery.
The incident happened at about 11pm on Friday as the victim walked along a footpath between Edgbaston House and Tipton House, Portsmouth.
As he walked along the footpath which runs parallel with Winston Churchill Avenue the victim, a 24-year-old man, was approached by two men who demanded his wallet.
The victim managed to get away from the suspects and nothing was stolen.
The first suspect is described as:
• Black
• Aged between 18 and 25-years-old
• About 5ft 7 tall
• Average build
• Large nose
• Thin beard
• Wearing a black hooded bomber style puffa jacket, dark trousers and white Nike Air Max trainers.
The second suspect is described as:
• Black
• Aged between 18 and 25-years-old
• About 6ft 2 tall
• Stocky build
• Wearing a similar jacket to the first suspect and black jeans.
Detective Constable Emma Houghton from CID said: “This incident happened on a Friday night and it is possible that other people were in the area at the time who may have seen two men matching the descriptions of the suspects.”
