Detectives in Hampshire are investigating after two boys were targeted in robberies.

The incidents took place during the early evening on Monday, January 14.

A 15-year-old boy was approached by a man wearing a light grey tracksuit just after 5pm in Magdalen Road.

He was on his paper round when the suspect walked up to him and asked for the time.

He then pulled out a knife and demanded the victim’s phone.

The boy did not hand over his phone and rode away on his bike.

Between 5.25pm and 5.30pm, a 14-year-old boy was heading home on his skateboard when he noticed two men on a bike riding along Randolph Road.

As the victim turned into Maderia Road, a man wearing a light grey tracksuit got off the bike and jogged towards him.

The suspect asked the victim what the time was so the victim took his phone out of his pocket to look at the time.

The suspect then produced a knife and demanded that the victim hand over his phone.

Having stolen a white IPhone 4S, the suspect ran off towards Windermere Road.

Neither of the victims was injured.

The first suspect is described as:

• White man

• Slim face

• Small amount of stubble

• 19 to 20-years-old

• 5ft 7 tall

• Average build

• Local accent

• Ginger or light brown hair

• Wearing a light grey tracksuit with a white Nike tick on the chest area and white trainers.

The second suspect was wearing a dark grey tracksuit and was riding a dark coloured mountain bike.
