Police have launched an investigation in a sex attack on a woman on the Isle of Wight.
Officers have issued an appeal for witnesses leading up to the alleged incident.
It comes after a man and a woman were seen arguing at a bus stop in the early morning.
The row took place at around 6.55am on January 12, when a man and a woman, who knew each other, were involved in a dispute at the bus stop in Newport Road at the junction of Bellevue Road, Cowes.
They were seen later heading towards the Bellevue Road area.
It is alleged a sexual assault on a woman aged in her 20s took place at an address in Cowes later that day.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Andy Cooper of Isle of Wight CID said: “A number of people were waiting at the bus stop at this time and we are keen to speak with anyone who was there.
“The behaviour of the man towards the woman may have attracted the attention of those waiting for the bus, particularly a lady who watched the couple leave the area.
“This witness was described as aged in her 60s and wearing a red coat and had an umbrella.”
