STRAWBERRY growers can keep 33 mobile homes which had been moved onto land at a Wellow nursery without planning permission.
It follows Test Valley Council’s southern area planning committee members’ decision to approve R and V Emery’s retrospective application at Littlebrook Nursery.
The caravans are used to house strawberry pickers during the growing season but up until now the land owners had only had permission to store six mobile homes at the Scallows Lane site during the winter months.
Planning officers who recommended granting permission claimed the proposals would have “no adverse” affect on the character of the site or the surrounding area.
