A driver was threatened with violence in a parking dispute, police say.
The 65-year-old van driver told police how he had been parked in Mount View, in Boyatt Wood, writing up invoices when a man knocked on his window and started shouting and swearing at him and tried to get him to get out of the vehicle.
He told police the man then threw a traffic cone at the back of the van – no damage was caused – and made further threats before disappearing.
The victim, from Holbury, told police that the man had asked him to move his vehicle and he did, then the man asked him to move it again.
Police are investigating the incident, which took place at about 2.45pm on Monday.
A 37-year-old Eastleigh man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and a public order offence of threatening violence, but was released with no further action.
Anyone with details should call Eastleigh police on 101.
