THE Mayflower is set to play host to Birds of a Feather on stage, starring Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph.
One of BBC’s most popular and fondly remembered sitcoms, Birds of a Feather ran for almost 10 years until 1998.
Set in Chigwell, it chronicled the misadventures of Sharon Theodopolopoudos and Tracy Stubbs (Pauline Quirke and Linda Robson) and their man-eating neighbour, Dorien Green (Lesley Joseph).
Pauline Quirke will most recently be remembered as Hazel Rhodes in ITV1’s Emmerdale, and she is also well-known for her portrayal of Olive Martin in the award-winning dramas The Sculptress, Down to Earth, Cold Blood and Missing.
In 2008 Pauline Quirke celebrated 40 years in the entertainment business, and launched the hugely successful Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts, which has over 30 academies across the United Kingdom.
Linda Robson rose to prominence in Shine On Harvey Moon and is well-known for Grumpy Old Women in the theatre, not forgetting her foray into the jungle in I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here… at the end of 2012.
Lesley Joseph has recently been touring in Calendar Girls.
Her TV work includes the ITV soap Night And Day, which ran for two years.
Join Pauline, Linda and Lesley as they recreate their adored characters from Birds of a Feather on stage, created especially for the theatre by The Comedy Theatre Company, producers of Victoria Wood’s Dinnerladies and Keeping Up Appearances.
Birds of a Feather is on at The Mayflower from May 21 to 25.
